Installation & Fitment Guide
JDM Spec License Plate Holes This is a JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) spec trunk. Because Japanese license plate mounting points differ from those in the United States, you will need to drill an additional hole to properly secure your US spec license plate. It’s a minor modification, but we recommend having a professional shop handle it during the test-fit process to ensure a clean, centered finish.
Trunk Spring Safety Because carbon fiber is significantly lighter than the factory steel unit, you must not reuse the OEM trunk springs or struts. The factory tension is far too high for a lightweight trunk; leaving them in place can cause the trunk to fly open with enough force to crack the carbon or damage the hinges. Removing the springs ensures a smooth, controlled operation and protects your investment.
